Stephen Luoni, and UACDC: Venture Design

Venture Design: slide 24

The UACDC publication Low Impact Development: A Design Manual for Urban Areas introduces general audiences to designing landscapes for urban stormwater runoff. The 230-page manual is the first to devise an LID Facilities Menu of the 21 recognized BMPs (Best Management Practices), organized from mechanical to increased biological functioning. The manual shifts LID from an isolated planning model employed at the site scale to a highly distributed treatment network deployed at neighborhood, municipal and regional scales.
